Read on for information about the residency:
The 2018 Acast Audio Residency is an opportunity for emerging audio talent to create and premiere new work at this year’s On Air Fest. We encourage applications that emphasize experimentation and defy easy categorization. Challenge yourself and challenge the medium.
The residency is open to artists, editors and producers with an idea that has not been previously broadcasted, performed or exhibited to a large audience. The audio work can take any form: poetry, narrative, sculptural, performance-based, fiction, field recording, ambient, interview, documentary, a hybrid or a surprise.
• Showcase of work at On Air Fest
• One night’s stay at Wythe Hotel during the fest
• Ticket to On Air Fest
• Work crit with Caitlin Thompson, US Director of Content at Acast
• Exposure to a community of audio practitioners and industry leaders
