The making of crimetown with Zac Stuart-Pontier

Zac Stuart-Pontier, co-creator and host of Crimetown takes us through his creative and journalistic process. Interviewed by award-winning documentarian James Rasin, this session is a deep dive into Stuart-Pontier's vision as a documentarian, and the inner workings that make a show like Crimetown cut deep.

Zac Stuart-Pontier is a journalist and filmmaker. He was the editor, co-producer and writer of the Emmy– and Peabody Award–winning HBO documentary series The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst. He also edited the feature films Martha Marcy May Marlene, Catfish (the documentary) and Bleed for This.

James Rasin is an award-winning feature documentary filmmaker. His latest project is DRIVE, a 3,000-mile, 57-hour long film. Rasin has also written and directed New York off-Broadway theater, and has penned numerous screenplays – including “Somebody’s Sins” (co-written with Jack Walls), the story of Robert Mapplethorpe and Patti Smith. He is currently partnering with Zac Stuart-Pontier on their feature-length screenplay, “Burned”.
