'Lost Notes' Live with Hanif Abdurraqib

Announcing the newest host of KCRW's 'Lost Notes': poet Hanif Abdurraqib in conversation with The Mixtape Museum's Regan Sommer McCoy. Hanif opens this live taping sharing original poems, followed by a dialogue on the importance of archiving mixtapes and advancing public understanding of the art, history, and technique of the mixtape.

Hanif Abdurraqib is a poet, essayist, and cultural critic from Columbus, Ohio. In 2019, he released Go Ahead In The Rain: Notes To A Tribe Called Quest which became a New York Times Bestseller, and was met with critical acclaim. His second collection of poems, A Fortune For Your Disaster, was released by Tin House Books in 2019.

Regan Sommer McCoy is a music industry veteran passionate about the intersection of hip-hop, education, and tech. The Mixtape Museum (MXM), is an archive project dedicated to advancing public understanding and appreciation of the art, history, and technique of the mixtape. MXM explores how mixtapes have changed the landscape of music, and seeks to achieve systematic preservation in the DJ community.
