The Kitchen Sisters Live: Keep the Electrons Flowing

Iconic independent producers The Kitchen Sisters (Nikki Silva and Davia Nelson) have embarked on a new audio journey, The Keepers, stories of activist archivists, rogue librarians, curators, collectors and historians. In this presentation blending conversation with sonic treasures from the series, Nikki and Davia speak with Prince's recording engineer, Susan Rogers with a special performance from lap steel guitar wizard, Cindy Cashdollar.

This session offers a personal look into Prince's creative process from the perspective of his sound technician. Rogers, the engineer of Purple Rain and other groundbreaking albums worked alongside Prince for years, layering and perfecting his music.
