Utilizing voice, loops, and plastic toys, new music composer Theo Bleckmann stunned the audience at On Air Fest with experimental renditions of classic German love song Lili Marlene and his own original compositions for a live rendition of WNYC's 'Soundcheck.' Theo Bleckmann is a new music composer and Grammy-nominated singer who has arranged Kraftwerk, Kate Bush, Weimar art songs, and worked with Meredith Monk and Vocal Ensemble for more than 15 years. John Schaefer has hosted 'Soundcheck' since its beginning in 2002. The live set recorded at On Air Fest begins at minute 16:00 in this episode of New Sounds.
