ARTIST STATEMENT:
I recorded (with consent) my first ever break up, which happened in my late 20s. I felt I had done something wrong, but didn't want to fully admit it. Instead of just apologizing, I tried to explain my behavior. We've all heard it, "I'm not trying to excuse, just to explain." The truth is, that is an excuse. I used clips from that break up conversation (only my side) to make this piece.
